The 450s ist eine Band bekannter Musiker aus Miami. Die Brüder Robert und James Jacobs (Bass, Gitarre, St. James), Carl Canedy am Schlagzeug (The Rods), Ryan Sambrook (Keys) und Rhett am Gesang. Geschichten von Dekadenz und Verzweiflung werden in den provokativen Songs mit dunkler Musikalität wiedergegeben. Die 450s haben keine Angst, tief in das Herz der Dunkelheit einzutauchen, weder lyrisch noch in ihrer modernen Interpretation des intensiven, rauen Rock ‘n‘ Roll. Das Ergebnis sind Songs mit einer Unmittelbarkeit und Nacktheit, dass sie fast beängstigend sind. Die filmisch, bluesige Flamenco-Gruselhaftigkeit von "One King" , während das süchtig machende "Black Tar" eine rohe Kraft mit dramatischen Streichern mischt. Als das Quartett in Miami zusammenkam, war die Chemie und die daraus resultierenden Songs so stark, dass sie das Ohr des legendären Produzenten Jack Douglas (Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, Patti Smith) erregten, der die musikalische Spannung und Dynamik der 450s noch hervorhebt. Hoch-Oktaniger Rock mit Old-School-Flavour.
