Das Süd-Londoner Kollektiv Archive veröffentlicht mit „A Call To Arms & Angels“ am 8. April 2022 sein zwölftes Studio-Album, das erste seit „The False Foundation“ 2016. Dabei handelt es sich um ein 17-Track-starkes Doppelalbum, das in den RAK-Studios mit Jérome Devoise aufgenommen wurde. Einerseits porträtiert das Album - als Spiegel der Welt im Jahr 2021 - die individuellen und kollektiven Frustrationen und Herausforderungen der Band, sowie die Realitäten und täglichen Kämpfe aller Individuen. Andererseits schlägt es auf seiner progressiv-dynamischen Reise immer wieder in angenehm ästhetische Simplizität um. Auf diese Weise verwebt „A Call To Arms & Angels“ gekonnt dunkle Strömungen mit Momenten der Ruhe.
