Van der Graaf Generator waren eine der originellsten und inspirierendsten Bands der 1970er Jahre. Als Peter Hammill, Hugh Banton, Guy Evans und David Jackson 2005 ihre Wiedervereinigung ankündigten, um Konzerte zu geben und ein neues Album aufzunehmen, waren viele überrascht, aber die Gruppe bewies, dass sie immer noch relevante und wirklich progressive Musik macht.

Ihre Wiedervereinigung sollte keine kurzlebige Angelegenheit sein, denn VdGG nahmen weiterhin eine Reihe hervorragender Studio- und Live-Alben auf, obwohl David Jackson Ende 2005 nach der Veröffentlichung des Albums "Present" die Band verließ. In den nächsten zehn Jahren veröffentlichten VdGG eine Reihe von Alben und tourten je nach Lust und Laune.

Van der Graaf Generator were one of the most original and inspiring bands of the 1970s. When Peter Hammill, Hugh Banton, Guy Evans and David Jackson announced their reformation in 2005 to perform concerts and to record a new album, it took many by surprise, but the group proved they were still making relevant and truly progressive music.

Their reunion would not be a short-lived affair, as VdGG continued to record a series of excellent studio and live albums, despite the departure of David Jackson in late 2005 following the release of the album ‘Present’. Over the next ten years VdGG issued a string of albums and toured as the mood took them.

This boxed set celebrates this second era of Van der Graaf Generator with all of the albums issued by the band between 2005 and 2016 and includes the long deleted live double album and concert DVD ‘Live At Paradiso’ and the rare additional live CD previously issued only on the limited Japanese release of ‘Real Time’.

‘Interference Patterns’ includes a 96-page book with an extensive new essay and band interviews by Sid Smith and features each album in replica album sleeves.
