TRUEWAVES is the second release from International Prog outfit ZIO following on from their critically acclaimed debut album Flower Torania released in 2020. ZIO is the brainchild of Drummer/Producer Jimmy Pallagrosi (Karnataka/The Hayley Griffiths Band) and he is joined on writing duties by Olivier Castan (Franck Carducci) and Mark Fascia who play Keys and Guitar respectively. In true Prog form each album is developed around a unique concept and the band are inspired by their love of Sci-Fi, video games and Comics. Each album features a plethora of talented guest vocalists who are loved in the Prog genre and beyond. TRUEWAVES sees the return of Hayley Griffiths on vocal duties but also features the talents of John Mitchell (Lonely Robot, Frost*) Eric Gillette (Neal Morse band), Gabriel Aguedo (Steve Rothery Band), Corvax and Miranda & Magda. ZIO are looking forward to hitting the road again in 2023 after their 2020 Flower Torania Tour was curtailed by Covid-19. The band have previously performed at Winter’s End Festival, Crescendo Rock Progressive Festival and Rock au Chateau in France.
