"In the concept album "Pages From The Sea" the reference that comes to mind most frequently is the David Sylvian of the nineties: sweetness, refinement and melancholy intertwine between keyboard carpets, dreamy guitars and enveloping horns. The coordinates are always a very refined art rock, very much indebted to ambient jazz and modern progressive rock. The album features musical contributions from excellent artists such as Jakko M Jakszyk (King Crimson, The Tangent), Robby Aceto (David Sylvian, Jansen/Barbieri/Karn), Peter Goddard on vocals, Peter Dodge (Cloud Chamber Orchestra) and Mike Applebaum (Ennio Morricone, Fjieri) on trumpet, Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson, Ork), Cristiano Capobianco, Alessandro Inolti and Luca Fareri on drums, Markus Reuter (The Crimson ProjeKct, Stick Men), Nicola Lori (Fjieri), Giacomo Anselmi (Goblin Rebirth, Nuove Tribù Zulu) on guitar, Fabio Fraschini (Novembre, Arctic Plateau), Fabio Trentini (Marco Minnemann & Illegal Alien, Stewart Copeland, Nina Hagen) on bass. Panunzi‘s use of electronics is skilful, it shines in particular on The Sea Woman, the closing piece that sees him solo dividing himself between sweet keyboards, lounge beats and dark orchestrations. The CD is available in an elegant digipak cardboard with the wonderful images elaborated by the German graphic artist Bernd Webler."
