Sendelica have been part of the Fruits de Mer family many years - albums, singles, gigs - they‘ve kind of grown up/grown old(er) together; in that time, the band have developed into one of the finest instrumental psychedelic rock bands in the UK, picking up fans around the world (including Kris Needs) in the process. The band formed in 2005 and comprise core members Pete Bingham (guitars and electronics), Colin Consterdine (beats, synths) and Glenda Pescado (bass); they wear their influences on their sleeves and their music has been described as blending the hypnotic pulse of Can, the atmospherics of Pink Floyd, the motorized proto-punk of Neu, the guitar pyrotechnics of Jimi Hendrix and the otherworldly ambiences of The Orb; they draw inspiration from the local landscapes of Cardigan Bay and the Preseli Mountains and the ancient heritage of the region.
‘Man, Myth & Magic‘ is the third installment of a quartet of studio albums examining Man‘s relationship with religion, magic, myths, himself and the planet he inhabits. The series started with ‘And Man Created God‘ which looked at man‘s relationship with religion, followed by ‘One Man‘s Man‘ which examined the history of Homo Sapiens - where did we come from and more importantly where are we headed? ‘Man, Myth & Magic‘ explores man‘s myths and magic... when does magic become science, when exactly do these become realities, and are these myths based on factual events and somehow distorted over the centuries? Each side of the LP is presented as a side-long piece of music. A double LP of epic instrumentals, ‘Man, Myth & Magic‘ is pressed on random coloured vinyl, with printed inner sleeves, a fold-out poster and a die-cut cover.
